Today in SCIENCE we:
  • Did Current Events.
  • Did vocabulary #36. Do I have your duotang?
  • Handed in our Ohm My worksheet.
  • Talked about voltage & current. Went outside and did a fast activity....what did we do?
  • Talked about energy transformations
  • Did the Give it a try sia9 p320 - going shopping.
  • Homework: sia9 p323 c&r #1-9.

Today in SCIENCE we:
  • Did NOT do vocabulary. Had that time to finish up & submit our vocabulary duotangs.
  • Did Current Events.
  • Reviewed our quiz. WELL DONE!
  • Had a look at FUSES. What are they? What do they do?
  • Talked about resistance some more.........how do you use the formula PROPERLY?
  • Reviewed our reistance worksheet.
  • Got another resistance worksheet. OHM MY is due on FRIDAY for MARKS.
  • DO c&r sia9 p316 #1-9.

  • Did vocabulary #35. Please make sure you have handed in your vocabulary duotangs by WEDNESDAY.
  • Did current events.
  • Did a quiz on section 1.0. WELL DONE 9F!!
  • Wrote a journal entry about the quiz.
  • Read & Understood sia9 p311-315.
  • Remember to bring your resistance worksheet with you on Wednesday.
  • Homework: based on what you have read & understood, draw a PROPER circuit diagram.

Today in SCIENCE we:
  • Did Current Events. Everybody was ready! Well done!
  • Did vocabulary #34.
  • What happens when we add more LOAD (ex. light bulb) to a circuit & we don't change the voltage?
  • What happens when we try to force the same volume through different size funnels?
  • Talked about RESISTANCE, FLOW OF ELECTRONS, & OHM'S LAW. Do you "get it"?
  • Learned the FORMULA for resistance & how to use the pyramid.
  • Did the skill practice sia9 p307 together.
  • Did the "you must not resist resistance" worksheet & handed it in.
  • Read sia9 p 304-310, do p 310 c&r #1-10. This is due on WEDNESDAY. I still see you even though we won't be doing science!
  • Give the Junior Acheivement Letter to your parents!
  • Talked about our Field Trip to Kananaskis being INVITE ONLY. What does that mean? How do you get an invite?
