- Did vocabulary #27. Are you up to date? An easy 5% of your grade can be earned simply by following the guidelines and doing your vocabulary every day.
- Did current events. Got a schedule for February & March. This SHOULD by an easy 5% of your grade. Failure is not an option.
- Handed in our Heavy Metals projects. They were due at 9am, after that, it is considered late.
- Started watching the movie Erin Brockovich. Did you vocabulary words today help? They should have if you did them properly. What is this movie about? How is it related to chemistry?
- We are at the end of a unit, therefore you should be REVIEWING your SCIENCE EVERY NIGHT. What do you understand? What do you need work on? Check your notes and the questions you have already completed. A unit finial is imminent. A unit final will take place next THURSDAY. I have given you LOTS of time to prepare yourself & get yourself sorted out. Use it wisely.

- Talked about heavy metals & contamination.
- Read in our textbook & did some internet research about heavy metals.
- You should have ONE page of notes about heavy metals with not less than THREE (3) references. This is IN ADDITION to your texbook.
- You will be designing a brouchure/poster/ad of some kind to inform the public of this problem. What do you need to include to make the piece helpful?
- Got our mark updates & self evaluation today. Please bring them back SIGNED on FRIDAY. There are BONUS marks up for grabs!
- Where should your vocabulary & journal duotangs be at the end of EVERY class?
- Friday January 23rd at 130pm is the ABSOLUTE LAST time any work from term 2 will be accepted.
Remember that if you leave it this long to submit your work you are gambling....will it get marked on time or won't it??
The SOONER you hand it in, the better your chances of having your work marked & counted towards your grade!

Today in SCIENCE we:
- Did current events. Nice work.
- Did Vocabulary #22
- Got some study time.
- Wrote a quiz. How did it go? The quizzes are designed so you CAN get 100% if you DO YOUR WORK & make SURE you UNDERSTAND it.
- Wrote a reflection & put it in our duotang.
- So folks, we are working towards GREAT test taking skills & test PREPARATION skills. Some key points are ACTIVE LISTENING, reading the blog, & doing our homework.
- When you have a question about your questions. ASK.
- LABS. When you show me that you are capable of following instructions, we will try to do a lab again. I still remember the last time we tried.
- No one is going to do your work for you. When you go into the work force no one will do your work for you there either.

- Did not do current events. Why was that?
- Did vocabulary #21. Is all of your vocabulary in your duotang in the classroom? You had lots of time to complete it today in class.
- Reviewed our quiz from Friday. How did that go? Where did you go wrong? Where did you go right?
- Quiz on Thursday.
- Did a journal entry about the outcome of the last quiz and our predicted outcome for Thursday's quiz. Are all of your journal entries in your journal? They should be in there.
- Did the give it a try activity on sia9 p158. Can you write out these reactions. Do you understand how this works?
- Got a lot of work back. Make sure it goes in the right place. Are you up to date? You will get a print out, but you should already have an idea.
- Worked on sia9 p162 #1-6, p165 #1-4, p170 #1-8. Due Thursday. Yes you have to write the question down. You had time in class, how did you use it?
